Welcome to Earl’s Yard Services! To ensure the highest quality of service, protect our schedule, and keep operations running safely and efficiently for all clients, the following policies apply to all jobs.
Important Notice: By requesting an estimate, booking a time slot, or authorizing yard maintenance services to begin, you explicitly agree to all the terms, conditions, and policies listed below.
Estimates and Bookings
Initial Estimates: We provide rough ballpark estimates free of charge via texted photos of the work area.
In-Person Assessments: If an in-person site visit is required to quote a complex job, a standard $50 assessment fee applies. This fee is fully credited toward your final invoice if you hire us for the job.
Minimum Fee: There is a strict $100 minimum service fee per visit to cover travel, fuel, and specialized equipment maintenance overhead.
Scope Changes and Unforeseen Complications: All quotes are based strictly on the initial details and photos provided by the client. We reserve the right to adjust final pricing or renegotiate the contract if the job scope changes, if critical details were withheld, or if unforeseen complications arise on-site (such as hidden debris, hazardous conditions, or structural obstacles) that are not the result of our own negligence. No additional work outside the original agreement will be performed without confirmation from the client.
Deposits and Off-Site Bookings
On-Site Clients: For standard single-visit jobs where you will be present, cash, Venmo, or PayPal is accepted immediately upon completion of the work.
Off-Site and Multi-Day Projects: If you will not be present on the job site (for example, you are away at work), or for projects spanning multiple days, a secure deposit or an upfront digital payment method (PayPal or Venmo) must be verified to secure your slot on our calendar before work begins.
Cancellations and Rescheduling: We require at least 24 hours notice for any changes to your appointment. Because we are heavily booked, cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice forfeit the deposit or held slot to cover lost time and travel planning.
Payment Terms
Payment Due On Completion: Full payment is due immediately upon completion of the service.
Multi-Day Projects: For multi-day projects, progressive payments must be settled at the end of each work phase before the next phase begins. We do not hold slots or return to a job site if a previous phase remains unpaid.
Professional Boundaries and Safety
Workplace Environment: To ensure a focused, safe, and productive environment, we maintain a strictly professional, task-oriented workplace. We respectfully request that discussions on site remain limited to the scope of the project.
Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the absolute right to refuse service, pause operations, or leave a job site immediately if we encounter behavior that is hostile, discriminatory, threatening, or otherwise unsafe or uncomfortable.
Mid-Job Terminations: If a job is terminated mid-service due to safety or hostile environment concerns, the client will be billed immediately for all labor and overhead completed up to that exact moment, and future services will be permanently cancelled.
Commencement of any property maintenance or yard services constitutes full acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined above.
